4WD Mechanic and Accessory Fitter
We’re in search of a proactive and skilled individual to join our team as a 4WD Mechanic and Accessory Fitter, We operate an ISO 17025-accredited automotive product test facility and report directly to stakeholders, manufacturers, suppliers, and customers. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our operations, showcasing exceptional organization, energy, and communication skills.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 7 am to 4 pm
Every 2nd Saturday: 4 hours
Key Responsibilities
Install and fit various 4WD accessories to enhance vehicle performance.
Intense 4WD parts and accessories testing in extreme conditions.
Conduct routine maintenance, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues.
Ensure parts & accessories are prepared to meet quality standards before delivery.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems & accessories in 4WD vehicles.
Perform precision wheel alignments for optimal vehicle handling.
Expertly mount and balance 4WD wheels, tires & accessories.
Undertake minor fabrication tasks to fit aftermarket parts & accessories.
Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
Cert 3 or 4 Light Vehicle Mechanic Certificate.
Extensive experience in designing and developing test protocols for automotive parts & accessories.
Passion for 4WD vehicles, Off-roading, and overlanding.
Strong communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to self-manage in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
Collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with others, analyze and report test results to stakeholders.
Collaborate with editors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure the quality of 4X4 parts & accessories.
Strong work ethic and an enthusiastic ‘can-do’ attitude.
Additional Requirements
Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of 4WD vehicles.
Prior experience in fitting a range of 4WD accessories highly regarded.
Demonstrated capability to diagnose and solve complex mechanical issues.
A commitment to delivering high-quality service with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Adherence to safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
